Maximizes modern components
Modulation Sciences uses state-of-the-art integrated
circuits that deliver performance, which used to be available
only with complicated circuit boards packed with discrete components.
Not only do today's advanced ICs cost a fraction of what the
old discrete circuits did, but they are streamlined for performance,
without the time-consuming--and often unstable--tweaks and fine-tuning
that used to drive up manufacturing and calibration costs.

User-Friendly Menus - Easy to Read
The front panel of the msi 320 is free of clutter and complicated controls. It has a single, legible fluorescent display--not an LCD--so it can be set up and read even in low light conditions. One dual-function, concentric control, a single headphone jack, and a two-line menu display--that's everything needed to set up and perform a wide range of precision video measurements.
Full Text Menus
The two-line, 40-character display (20 characters per line) communicates in full text. Each of the selection items, such as the clamping of video to either sync or back porch, and zero carrier reference line selection are full text menu items on the display. The display itself employs a pleasing and highly legible fluorescent emissive technology, as opposed to harder-to-read LCD displays. Another plus is that the built in status alarms are also full text.
Multi Language
The NTSC version of the msi 320 is front panel selectable between English, French and Spanish.
Reliable and Versatile Operations
The msi 320 is fully RF shielded and designed for use in the studio and at the transmitter site. It's selectable menu offers the widest possible range of precise measurements. And, its RS-232 capability provides control and status monitoring from remote locations.
Single, Dual-Function Concentric Knob
A large, skirted dual-function, concentric knob is the only front panel control on the msi 320. The outer, skirted knob selects the function in the window, and the inner knob chooses the parameters of the function. For example, the outer knob would choose the Channel Select display and the inner knob would be used to set the actual Channel. It's quick and easy-to-use.

Tuning
Continuous, all-channel tuning--with front-panel selection
of any channel--is easily accessible, yet can be locked to
a single channel to prevent unauthorized channel surfing. Locking
avoid errors or accidents in channel selection.
Impressive Performance
The quality built
into the msi 320 is evident. Just take one look at these examples
of it's impressively good numbers: < 1.20 Differential phase; < 1.2%
Differential gain. Correct chroma/luminance delay (170 ns)
to 30 ns.
Zero Carrier Reference
The selectable line
zero carrier reference feature sets two-thirds of one line
of the video signal to zero modulation, enabling easy setup
for waveform measurements.
Nyquist SAW Filter
Custom, ovenized SAW
filter provides an accurate low frequency video response, correct
chroma/luminance delay, and a nearly ideal sound trap.
